What FindTunes Collects
FindTunes stores uploaded files, pasted video URLs, short audio samples, and song results only to identify songs, show your result, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable. We do not require an account for the core song finder.
We may store IP address, country, browser user agent, timestamps, and basic usage events for rate limiting, fraud prevention, analytics, and security.
Uploads And Recording
Uploaded source files and audio samples are kept only as long as needed to process the search, operate the product, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot reliability issues.
The website records microphone audio only after you click Record / hum and allow microphone access. It does not record your screen, browsing history, or anything you did not choose to submit.
Payments, Ads, And Analytics
Payments are handled by Stripe. FindTunes does not store card numbers. We use PostHog to understand product usage and improve reliability.
With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits to our public pages using cookies and browser/device information. We exclude account and sign-in pages, remove query strings and result IDs, and do not send pasted video links, uploaded files, or account details to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization and automatic form tracking are disabled. Declining this optional measurement does not affect the song finder or our separate operational analytics.
Google Analytics is off.
Guest credit purchases use a secure, HTTP-only browser cookie to access the purchased balance. Payment receipts and credit adjustments are stored privately. Keep cookies enabled to retain access; contact support with your receipt if browser access is lost.
FindTunes may show Google AdSense ads after approval. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to measure ads, prevent fraud, and personalize ads where allowed. Clearly labeled affiliate links use Impact tracking and may earn us a commission. Music links open third-party services with their own privacy policies.
Account History And Music Picks
For signed-in users, we store visits and search history to show your activity and music picks. Starter credits are a one-time allowance and do not refill daily. Your account email is stored by Supabase. Weekly music emails are optional and off by default. If you opt in, we record your preference and consent time; you can turn them off in your account. Email delivery is not active yet.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data with service providers only when needed to run FindTunes, including Supabase for storage and database, ACRCloud for music recognition, Stripe for payments, PostHog for analytics, Google for ads, and hosting providers for deployment.
When you connect FindTunes to an AI assistant, the video link you submit is sent to FindTunes for song recognition. Public result details may be returned to the assistant. We do not receive your full chat history.
