YouTube Shorts song finder questions
How do I find a song from a YouTube Short?
In YouTube, tap Share, then Copy link. Paste the link above and select Find song. When a song is identified, you will see its name, artist and listening links when available.
Which YouTube link formats work?
Shorts links, standard watch links and youtu.be share links are accepted. Use a video URL, not a channel or playlist. Private, deleted, age-restricted or otherwise blocked videos may not be accessible.
Can I search a specific part of a Short?
Choose Trim and enter the start time and length. Link trimming needs access to the video audio. If YouTube blocks access, upload a permitted clip and trim it instead.
What if the video uses more than one song?
FindTunes shows additional songs when they are detected. Sampling can miss short transitions. Upload the clip and search each clear section separately if the song you want is missing.
