Open the song finderWay 1: copy the link and paste it
In TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or X, tap Share and then Copy link. Open findtunes.app in Safari, tap Paste and the search starts on its own. You get the song name, artist and Apple Music link in seconds, with your sound off.
Tip: add FindTunes to your Home Screen from Safari's share menu so it opens like an app.
Way 2: Music Recognition in Control Center
iPhone has Shazam built in. Add the Music Recognition button in Settings, Control Center, then swipe down and tap it while the video plays out loud. It works best when the song is loud and nobody is talking over it.
Way 3: screen record and upload
For a private account or a video you cannot link to, start a screen recording from Control Center while the video plays, then upload the recording to FindTunes. Pick the part where the song is clearest.
Which way is best?
Link first, because it is fastest and needs no sound. Control Center when the music is playing out loud around you. Screen recording when the link will not open.
