Why Shazam can't find songs in TikToks and Reels (talking, sped up edits, sound off) and the fastest fix: paste the link instead.

Most TikToks are not just the song. There is talking, a voiceover, sound effects, or the song is sped up or slowed down. Shazam hears all of it through the mic and may not match.
The other common problem: you cannot play the sound out loud, or Shazam is on the same phone and cannot hear the speaker well.
Fix 1: paste the TikTok link
Tap Share on the TikTok, then Copy link, and paste it into FindTunes. It pulls the audio straight from the video, so the sound can stay off. When people talk over the music, it also retries with the voice turned down.
Fix 2: check the sound label first
Tap the spinning record at the bottom right of the TikTok. If it shows a real song name, you are done. If it says original sound followed by a username, the creator uploaded the audio themselves, and that is when a song finder helps.
Fix 3: pick the clearest part
If a video has several songs or a long intro, use Trim in FindTunes to search the exact moment the song plays. A few seconds of clean music beats a full minute of talking.
Still nothing?
Sped up and slowed edits sometimes match the original song, which is usually what you want anyway. Brand new or unreleased songs may not be in any catalog yet. Check the comments, where people often name the song.
Questions
Why can't Shazam find a song on TikTok?
Talking, effects and sped up edits get mixed with the music, and Shazam needs the sound playing out loud. Pasting the TikTok link into FindTunes skips both problems.
