Open the song finder

Step 1: check the description

Many YouTube videos list licensed songs in a Music section at the bottom of the description. Tap the title to expand it and scroll down. If it is there, you are done.

Step 2: paste the URL into FindTunes

Copy the URL (youtube.com/watch, youtu.be or youtube.com/shorts) and paste it into FindTunes. Lyric videos and official music videos usually come back in about a second. Other videos are checked by their audio.

Step 3: long video? Trim to the moment

For vlogs, streams or compilations, choose Trim and enter the minute and second the song plays. FindTunes checks just that part. Or right click the video to Copy video URL at current time.

Several songs in one video

Pro and Ultimate plans list every song FindTunes catches in the video. On any plan, use Find another song on the result to pick a different moment.
